The Alianza Agrícola is a New York State-based worker-founded, worker-led group of undocumented immigrant farmworkers. Most of us are from from Southern Mexico, and have lived and worked on farms in Upstate New York for over 10 to 20 years.

Our Work

In June 2019, we helped win two  historic statewide victories:

  • The Driver’s License Access and Privacy Act grants access to driver’s licenses to all undocumented New York residents.

  • The Farm Laborers Fair Labor Practices Act (FLFLPA), a long overdue law that grants labor rights, including collective bargaining, day of rest, and overtime pay, to farmworkers statewide.

We are using the momentum of these two legislative victories to increase our organizing capacity by expanding our membership base, launching formal leadership training opportunities for members, engaging in organizational strategic planning, and launching new campaigns.
